Daily Callout Fees
Nov 2007

This is an estimate on the daily fees asked for consultation or actual contractual hunts on farms within SA borders. Please note that if Feather & Fur asked to only hunt one part day and the evening that is taken as a full daily fee as it involves travel and equipment etc.

If it is agreed to that Feather & Fur is required to stay for more than one day at a specific venue it is expected that the farm owner provides sleeping facilities as well as meals for the group.

Typical operation is as follows; on arrival at the farm Feather & Fur will show the owner of that farm the mileage travelled and then that figure will have to be doubled as for the return journey. The figure will then be noted. At this time the metre will be zeroed and this is to ad mileage covered on the farm while on the hunt or days spent at that farm / venue etc.

After the completion of the hunt/ stay the metre will then be inspected by the owner and the amount will then be paid to Feather & Fur in cash, no cheques are accepted.

A daily fee is asked to cover ourselves in case we cannot hunt due to weather or other reasons out of our control.

Here follows the costs charged as a standard rate;

Per Kilometre charge of between R2-50 - R3-00 & R3-75 is charged depending upon what truck we use.
Daily fee asked R1500-00
Equipment used standard fee R250-00 max 4 days charge

Standard Black Backed Jackal R500-00

Alpha male over 5 years old R850-00
Silver Jackal standard R300-00
African Wildcat (Groukat) standard R300-00
Rooikat / Lynx standard R500-00

All amounts payable are to be paid in cash before departure from the farm, daily fees are payable in advance for period booked – either internet transfer or cash deposit – we do NOT accept cheque payments.

If other costs are due i.e.; if a flight is required to Namibia on contract these fees are for the land owners account.

These figures are NOT NEGOTIABLE and are applied strictly; we operate as a professional unit and use the VERY BEST calling equipment in the world, if you have requested trapping we have an additional charge of R500-00 for our trapping liquids etc that are used on the landowners property

It is the final decision of Feather & Fur to go into a contact with any person and Feather & Fur do not have to give reasons for NOT accepting an enquiry. Many reasons can make Feather & Fur turn down an enquiry such as a bad time of the year to call, or animals all SLIM geskiet etc, so the final decision rests with Feather & Fur to decide if they indeed want to enter into a contract with any party

The PER KILO charge is different in that some times other trucks are used, and some of the trucks are more heavy on fuel than others so we must cover ourselves, the truck used normally will be decided upon by the land we will hunt i.e. if we need 4x4 or not etc. We even have a Nissan 1400 for close simple trips

Feather & Fur cannot confirm any dates until the daily fees are paid in full upfront, these are all new developments as changes had to be made as many clients changed their minds before and this left us short, so due to bad apple customers we cannot help but to protect ourselves
