This is my one nightvision set up I am using at this time,  as mentioned above it has two extra infra red units, as this unit now stands, with it at 150m if you hold up two different shaped coffee mugs in pitch darkness I will tell you exactly what one you have in your left and right hand, thats how clear I can see an image at 150m with these two additions on top. This is a 1st Generation unit!!!!.

The image below, you can see the laser on the right and Infra Red bulb on the left mounted on a Surefire G2, it has a tactical infra red bulb not a black infra red lens. This IR bulb can be bought overseas

Build yourself a set up like this, buy a Binoculars with a long range illuminator, you wont be sorry, and for educated jackal familiar with lights, now they dont stand a chance, hunting without any lights gives you the upper hand and then some!
