REMEMBER
JACKAL
That these
two animals are also different with regards to sounds
used to lure them in - because a jackal like a hyena
is a pack animal, they respond to vocal sounds of
other jackal/ hyena, so to play an attention getter
sound to start a hunt for jackal is good, and then use
food. BECAUSE the jackal will respond to other
jackals, as
he is a pack animal.
LYNX/
WILDCAT
This animal IS NOT a pack animal,
it is a solitary animal and does NOT respond to other
cat sounds that are second hand sounds that you want
to play, like a cd sound of a cat, this animal won’t
be bothered with that. UNLESS it is close when he
hears it then he will look, but you won’t call him in
with that sound.
So, play
juicy, mouth watering squeaky sounds for cats, which
is the best, sit for at least an hour when cat calling
and set up near cover, on a pitch dark sky with the
caller near you, DO NOT place it far away, you wont
see the cats eyes as he will be looking in the wrong
place, place that caller near you so you can see his
red eyes. Don’t worry about the wind when calling
cats, they cannot smell a human.
This particular tip is taken directly from my
updated predator calling course.
