I used my caller days after I received it, and was very nice to have a caller that has a remote control with large buttons and so many neat features. I love that I can have 10 pre programmed sounds on the remote.

What I REALLY like it that the remote is finished off nicely, it is really professionally made, the colour of the Fury kind of grows on one, I like it, nice to have a plain non camo model for a change.

The attention to detail is superb, it is far superior to previous remotes, man other American predator calling companies must be really green with envy - their competition is far ahead in the game!

I cannot mention some stuff enough; The remote can be set so that the volume goes up or down in 2,4,5,10 or the style you wish, in other words you can set it that every time you touch the volume it goes up or down by say 5, instead one 1 notch at a time. The screen can be dimmed and highlighted differently, the battery is in a fixed holder, and a bunch other stuff – READ MORE HERE! That will follow, I really love all the high tech in this model.

**********Now this is what I do think was a great idea, the remote has a FIXED area that the 3 penlight battery’s go in, its not a lose part with a wire that can work lose after time, this is a great feature! I also like that the remote is man size and fits a hand really well.

The remote is very well finished off, the detail is amazing, and it even has the FOXPRO logo engraved on the aerial.

The caller in general is the same looking as a FX3 and Fx5 – I really like the colour that it comes in as standard, but generally it’s a real cool unit. Here is more info on the complete rig.

Design up to 10 entire stands including the individual sounds, volume levels, durations, and passages of silence. When selected, a custom sequence will go through the steps you defined and complete your entire calling sequence without requiring any need for using the remote control.

• FOXFADE™
Manipulate the volume level of the L/R channels on a stereo audio file. For example, if you are playing a sound that has a rabbit on the left audio channel and a coyote on the right audio channel you can use FOXFADE to gain independent control of volume of both sounds within the stereo audio file (i.e. decrease the volume of the rabbit--or silence it completely--while the volume of the coyote remains the same or vice versa.) In mono operation FOXFADE will act as a mixer moving sounds from the front speaker to rear speaker.

• A/V (Auto Volume)
Auto Volume allows you to begin your sound playback at zero volume and slowly increase it to your desired level. Once your desired has been reached, the volume level will begin to modulate up and down. This leaves your hands free from making manual volume changes.

• Three Sound Playback Modes
Continuous Mode results in the selected sound playing continuously until you stop it.

Single Play Mode allows you to have the selected sound play once, then stop.

Sequential Mode will play one sound to the end then move on to the next sound.

• Adjustable Volume Ramping
Set the increment speed for volume increase and decrease. For example, you can assign each volume up/down button- press the equal to 2, 4, 5, 8, or 10 steps.

• Adjustable Auxiliary Device Jack Control
Control how your auxiliary device jack operates from momentary (for use with the FOXPRO Jack-in-the-Box Decoy) or latched (for use with other devices such as different manufacturers decoys.)

• Wireless Sound Transfer
After programming sounds into the FURY you will not need to use a patch cable to transfer the list to the remote. The sound list will be automatically transferred into the TX-500.

• Internal and External Speaker Control
Turn internal and external speakers on/off via the TX-500

• Mono/Stereo Operation
Select mono or stereo audio operation from the remote control.

• Recall Button
Instantly jump back to the last sound and volume level played with the push of a button!

NOTE** I always carry extra penlight battery’s in my bag in case I need to replace any, it is always good to be prepared- other than drive miles, and then find out you have no power!

The Reverse Image is nice to set on the remote, you can set the writing so that the RED light is not very bright and is sort of obscured by the words on the remote, very nice idea for night hunting. SEE PICTURES BELOW.

Also, that you can set it on SCROLL and it will show a full list or single sounds on the remote, and then as I said that you can dull the screen in general and make the writing bigger or smaller – GREAT FEATURES!!!!

Here we have two settings, PLEASE NOTE ; You can set the screen to show up brighter or more dull, you have a choice, NOTE here that one setting is a black screen and ONLY the ONE sound is highlighted in red as you schroll, then the other is a red screen and it highlights a lot at once, you havce a choice.

I prefer the setting at the TOP, the first photo, it lights up a single sound and the window is more darker at night.

Everybody is different and we have our personal thoughts but this in general is a great feature, it helps keep all glare and light on you at night to a minimum.

Idea No 1 - I prefer this setting, EXCUSE the crappy photo, my camera cannot focus in the dark. But here you can see LIGHTNING JACK is highlighted.

Idea No 2 - Below we have another setting, you can see the WHOLE screen is RED and the sounds are easy to read and that LIGHNING JACK now is highlighted in black and red. Screen is brighter and all can be read.

You have a choice, but I prefer the top one. I use it on that setting, just with a slightly lighter screen. I love this remotes feature! At night it’s not bright when sitting high in a swivel chair and then you don’t light up the area around it like your body as example!

If you get your caller and start playing with the settings, within 10 minutes you will understand it all, and it isn’t like getting a new television and that THICK INSTRUCTION BOOK! – this book is easy to relate to and you will master the unit fast! Because you are getting familiar with something you really like – to master it will come faster, unlike learning how to set the wife’s microwave, learning about the new “FURY” caller is fast!!!!!!

When you handle this Foxpro Fury caller you feel the true quality of it, the fit and finish is perfect and the remote is AWESOME! I love the big dial and easy to read wording, the clock, battery meter, sound level etc are all great features, not to mention a RED screen!

I also like the fact that you have a menu on the remote to change various settings, it’s sort of like having a TV remote, just a very simple version that one can become accustomed to within minutes.

Foxpro thought about everything that was needed to fill the calling gap with a remote control, they thought of everything and everybody’s requirements.

The only thing they forgot to put on the remote is ….. heck, I really don’t know! Maybe next time how about a slot machine, a petrol and diesel tank with spare fuel and how about a built in charger – that’s a challenge! (Just a little humor).

Game callers have come a long way, the Fury is living proof of that, the latest offering from Foxpro is simply amazing, many features make it special, but the ones I mention here are really great, and its worth getting the unit because of the nice fetchers it offers you.

Personally I like the remote BECAUSE, I can have extra 2 presets on the side, my two sounds I want to get to fast! See No3. And also because I can program 10 sounds on the remote I want fast, No1-10
