DON’T
MAKE SO MUCH NOISE!
Remember we are calling a predator that is wake up!
Not a dumb canine at all, his name is Mr Jackal, by no
means stupid in general, unlike his many other
cousins! MANY GUYS MAKE THIS MISTAKE of playing to
loud and letting the sounds play to long, rabbits and
fawn have small lungs!
NOISE
Ok, DO NOT make to much noise at a high
volume when you call, remember you want the sound to
reach about 400m at night in one direction, then all
around you it will go 750m in total around you or
about 400 in a straight line.
YOU DO NOT WANT more range than that! That is already
loads! As rabbits have small lungs, not 600 pound
lungs, and a predator knows that sound is far too loud
for a small critter – get it!
ALSO
– Don’t let your sounds play to long in a time period
without stopping them, make it play-stop- play-
stop like a critter with small lungs, be
realistic.
We are dealing with jackals here, not dumb animals.
It is important to be as normal as possible when
playing sounds and to be as realistic as possible, buy
minimizing the faults we make the more jackals will
lay on your bakkie after a nights hunt.
If you are calling and the sound you make echoes,
the predator won’t know your position and he won’t
be able to find you, so turn down that volume, it’s
far too loud!
